Potential Cancer Causing Agents in Personal Care Products?

Did you know that many of the personal care products you use on a daily basis could potentially cause cancer? In this e-news update we are going to expose some shocking information that you may not be aware of. And if you have children you may want to take a closer look at the personal care products in your bathroom.

Every morning across this country and across the world people wake up each morning and start their day by going to the bathroom to cleanse their bodies, or so they think. Let's look at what the average person does each morning. Take a shower or bath, shampoo their hair, use toothpaste, mouthwash, deodorant, and shaving gel etc.

Let's start with your toothpaste. Have you read the warning label on most toothpaste tubes? It reads and I quote: "Warning! Keep out of reach of children. If more than used for brushing is accidentally swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away" end quote. My question to you is this. What's in toothpaste that requires a warning label? Engine degreaser or the chemical name "Sodium Laurel Sulfate" is a know carcinogen and can potentially cause cancer.

Let's look at mouthwash. Did you know that there is more alcohol in some mouthwashes than in beer and wine? In fact when someone is diagnosed with throat cancer, the doctor usually ask the person how long they have been using mouth wash. Now that we've got your oral hygiene out of the way let's look at shampoo, conditioner and deodorant. The number one ingredient in most shampoos and conditioners is "Propylene Glycol" which is industrial anti-freeze, also a know carcinogen. The aluminum found in deodorant has been linked to Alzheimer's disease. And the list goes on and on.

In closing 100 years ago cancer was a rare disease. Today 1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men will get cancer in their lifetime, and 1 in 4 will die from it. Cancer is increasing in all age groups including children. This may be one of the most important articles. What you do with the information is now is your hands.
